Ju Jitsu

The term "Ju Jitsu" dates back approximately 2,000 years and its name is indigenous to Japan. At present time there are over 700 styles of Ju Jitsu recorded. Ju Jitsu was the unarmed martial art of the Samurai. The literal meaning of Ju Jitsu is encounter with minimal weapons or the more generic term the "gentle method". By it's the description "Ju Jitsu" is a generic term a classification which covers the whole spectrum of body to body combat. Jujutsu can be defined as various unarmed or armed fighting systems that can be applied against, unarmed or armed assailants. Traditional systems date between the 15th and 16th century some even older. Modern systems date from the late 1800's to the present day. Ju Jitsu is the Master Art from where Judo and Aikido were created; Ju Jitsu has also influenced a number of Karate styles. Our Ju Jitsu program is fun and offers a wide variety of techniques composed of; Nage Waza, Ukemi Waza, Kensetsu Waza, Shime Waza, Gatame Waza, Atemi Waza, Kyusho...and more! Ju Jitsu based systems are also commonly used by the Police and Military worldwide.
